Job Description:
This position is responsible for working with the Interdisciplinary Domain in Product Strategy & Development to design new performing and visual arts degree programs based on formal and informal research plus first-hand knowledge according to a proprietary method developed by Laureate Higher Education Group. The candidate will work collaboratively with a number of teams product managers, academic faculty, research, operations, marketing, course developers, media developers, course writers, and consultants in a order to outline all specs for a new program that meets customer, market, and corporate needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with content domain, product management, and academics to develop new programs, upgraded programs, and revised programs that reflect business and academic goals. Produce detailed program specs that align with goals and can be implemented by course developers.
- Work with course developers on course design, provide QA, and develop and refine processes.
- Continuously increase knowledge of field in order to recommend new programs and/or revisions of current programs in collaboration with business and academic teams.
- Assess current Product Development products, designs and outcomes in order to determine best opportunities for increased student satisfaction and product quality.
- Assess internal capabilities, implementation timetables, and costs against value added to product from student perspective.
- Plan, recommend and gain appropriate consensus around new technologies. Prior to piloting, develop written test plans and budget with input from PD and other departments whose input and participation are required for successful pilot.
- Use planning process to gain awareness and agreement on ultimate benefits, and the definition of success.
- Hand off successful pilots to operational group. Work with internal operations and development teams to integrate new technologies into existing processes.
Experience:
- 8+ years of strategic experience in new product or program development.
- Masters degree required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and history of positive results achieved collaboratively.
- Experience working with higher education professionals preferred.
- Experience/degree in performing and/or visual arts required, breadth of experience preferred.
