To prepare and deliver content area lessons based on the syllabus provided by the Innovation Project (IP) in order to provide background information.
To guide the Teacher Assistant (TA) in their work with learning teams and to consult with them on student learning and/or behavioral issues.
To facilitate the learning team’s learning process and help them frame the questions they will need to ask in order to advance their understanding.
To oversee and manage the group process of learning teams.
To accompany learning teams to any and all special events, such as expert speakers or presentations even if those would fall outside of the daily 2.5 hour class time.
To facilitate the research the learning team will need to conduct in order to complete their project within the allotted three weeks of the program.
To provide constructive feedback to learning teams and individual members of learning teams on their learning process.
To provide constructive feedback to learning teams and individual members of learning teams on their final presentation.
To infuse all learning experiences with meta-cognitive thinking, which will allow students greater depth in their self reflection.
To communicate effectively and promptly with the Program Dean in any matters of concern.
To respond to e-mail and telephone communications within 24 hours.
To provide written feedback to parents on their children’s progress during the course.
To participate in any professional development opportunities the Program deems essential.

Job Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred, minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience.

Demonstrated expertise in one’s subject area
Successful experience with group facilitation skills
Proficiency with the use of computer technology as they pertain to the essential functions of this position
Ability to effectively and efficiently accomplish program goals in a timely manner
Ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision and work in an environment subject to interruptions
Outstanding communication skills to include the ability to use clear, concise and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of professional interaction with students, parents, peers, directors and the larger community
