The Opportunity
The Consultant will have the opportunity to play a key role in Eduventures Consulting Services (ECS). ECS enables institutions to solve complex institutional problems through custom research and management consulting services, with a focus on growth strategy and operations management. This individual will report to the team’s Senior Analyst and will be responsible for independently managing project workstreams, conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, developing client-specific work products, and supporting client relationships.
Responsibilities
The Consultant will work as an integral member of our consulting team executing a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods according to the specific needs of our clients. Frequent research methods we employ include online surveys, telephone interviews with executive-level contacts, focus groups, and Internet and database research.
Specific responsibilities of the Consultant include:
Taking responsibility for fulfilling research projects, including creating client-ready documents
Conducting primary and secondary research in support of project objectives
Producing high-quality work on time and on budget
Developing presentations of findings and presenting them to internal and external clients using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Continually supporting clients by being responsive and identifying opportunities to increase their satisfaction
The types of projects that the Consultant will be responsible for are:
Market-scans of segments of the education market using online sources
Interviews with well-placed sources at employers to determine labor market demand as it relates to degree attainment
Survey design, field management, and data analysis for an academic degree or program
Market sizing / supply vs. demand assessment using international, national, and state databases
Job Requirements:
We seek candidates interested in working in our Boston office and who possess the following skills and experience:
Two to four years of work experience; consulting preferred
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Professional experience and interest in market research
Strong communication skills – oral, written, and visual – using presentation tools (e.g. PowerPoint)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines
Experience with quantitative data analysis software, including SPSS and Excel
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability
Attention to detail and accountability for results
Professional interest in education
