New JerseyCityUniversity invites applications for the position of Assistant Director (Instructional Technologist) in the Department of Online Learning.The Assistant Director of Online Learning is responsible for training and supporting faculty and students in the use of the Blackboard CE learning management system and related technologies pertinent to the delivery of online, blended, and web-enhanced courses.This individual also provides administrative support for the University’s learning management system and other software applications and systems used for web-based learning.

Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s Degree
Three years experience in higher education related to the requirements of the position
Excellent oral and written communication and group presentation skills
Preferred
Master’s Degree
Experience using and supporting the Blackboard CE LMS
Experience in supporting faculty in online course development and design
Experience in planning and delivering group training sessions
Experience supporting students in using a learning management system
Experience with applications designed to support web-based learning, particularly Respondus, Turnitin, and the Wimba Classroom
Knowledge of best practices in online pedagogy and emerging technology trends
