The Opportunity
The Consultant will have the opportunity to play a key role in Eduventures Consulting Services (ECS). ECS enables institutions to solve complex institutional problems through custom research and management consulting services, with a focus on growth strategy and operations management.  This individual will report to the team’s Senior Analyst and will be responsible for independently managing project workstreams, conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, developing client-specific work products, and supporting client relationships.
 
Responsibilities
The Consultant will work as an integral member of our consulting team executing a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods according to the specific needs of our clients. Frequent research methods we employ include online surveys, telephone interviews with executive-level contacts, focus groups, and Internet and database research.
 
Specific responsibilities of the Consultant include:
  • Taking responsibility for fulfilling research projects, including creating client-ready documents
  • Conducting primary and secondary research in support of project objectives
  • Producing high-quality work on time and on budget
  • Developing presentations of findings and presenting them to internal and external clients using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Continually supporting clients by being responsive and identifying opportunities to increase their satisfaction
 The types of projects that the Consultant will be responsible for are:
  • Market-scans of segments of the education market using online sources
  • Interviews with well-placed sources at employers to determine labor market demand as it relates to degree attainment
  • Survey design, field management, and data analysis for an academic degree or program
  • Market sizing / supply vs. demand assessment using international, national, and state databases

Eduventures Learning Collaboratives are member-based, peer research consortiums that bring together senior decision-makers at public and private universities across the country. The Senior Analyst plays a key role in our research program serving deans and director-level executives in Continuing and Professional Education and Online Higher Education departments.
 
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Senior Analyst role include, but are not limited to:
  • Helping clients diagnose and address routine and strategic challenges, as part of an ongoing relationship
  • Presenting and discussing customized intelligence with clients, both face-to-face and remotely
  • Managing and conducting qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary research to support the custom research needs of individual member institutions
  • Leading selected major research studies on behalf of an entire Learning Collaborative
  • Working with Research Analysts and Associates to enhance quality and productivity

The Program Development group at Penn’s College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS) is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to support the Program Development team in areas of enrollment management, market research, and administrative support.

 

Enrollment Management

·    Lead efforts to recruit, admit, orient, retain, and support students in the non-credit online Positive Psychology offerings:

o       Coordinate registration and payment process

o       Manage communication plan and support processes throughout the student life cycle (inquiries, new enrollments, current students, and “alumni”)

o       Collect and distribute course evaluation data via online survey tools

o       Maintain student/participant records and content for recruitment and student support purposes (course site, FAQ’s, Syllabus, testimonials, etc.)

o       Collaborate with Traffic Coordinator of Marketing team on campaigns to drive interest, awareness, and action (registration/payment)

o       Create reports using Google Analytics and back-end tools to analyze impact and effectiveness of marketing efforts

o       Implement, refine, and document best practices all of the above processes

·    Provide support as needed for all College for-credit online offerings

o       Maintain administrative infrastructures for course and event enrollment/registration

o       Manage course content and community management (e.g., uploading and publishing content created by faculty or program administrators)

o       Schedule, monitor, and refine processes for hosting live web conferencing events

o       Support efforts related to communication, orientations, and/or information sessions for students, faculty, course facilitators, TAs, and/or public participants

o       Implement, refine, and document best practices all of the above processes

·    Support in follow up efforts related to market research results across College programs (e.g., working with constituents in the student life cycle via interviews, focus group meetings, retention or re-enrollment campaigns, etc.)

 

Market Research

·    Provide support in designing, testing, implementing, and analyzing surveys to populations including target markets, prospective students, current students, and alumni.

·    Provide support in gathering College competitor scan information: distinguishing characteristics, strengths and weaknesses, tuition, fees, scholarships, funding, etc.

 

Administrative Support

·    Support in researching options, pricing, and/or solutions for potential vendors, marketing and/or advertising outlets, and other services/support/products needed by the Program Development team

·    Other duties as assigned
