This workshop is designed to assist Content Area Teachers guide instruction for adolescent struggling readers, particularly secondary interventions within the general education context. Its purpose is to advance the knowledge of secondary educators concerning reading-related issues for students with reading difficulties and learning disabilities. The workshop enhances understanding of selected research-based instructional practices associated with positive effects for adolescent struggling readers as well as how to implement effective strategies.This workshop can be tailored to meet the needs of the participants.
